For Your Enjoyment

The Angel Experiment, from the Maximum Ride series, is about a girl named Maximum Ride who is only 98% human. The other 2% is bird. She was made at a place called the School, where they do several types of animal testing. She and the Flock (five other children like her) escaped from there and are now living in the woods, in hiding from the Erasers, who are wolf-like creatures that work for the School and have been hunting them down. Soon, the youngest of the Flock is captured by the Erasers and taken back to the School. So she and the Flock journey back to the place they hate most to rescue her.

I love this book and I hate it at the same time. If that makes any sense. It's much different than anything else I've read. I'm sort of confused as to what I think about it. Some parts of the actual story are simply so annoying that I can't get over them, and yet I can't stop reading. I know I'll end up reading the rest of the series anyway.
